Boutique hotels are kinda our thing, just like restaurants we like to leave the big names out of it and find the hidden gems in the city. The Silversmith Hotel, located downtown at 10 S. Wabash, did an amazing job renovating this historic building. The Adamus, is a fairly new restaurant located inside the hotel, with it's one year anniversary coming up Chef Nelson Erazo is about to change up the menu for Summer and we're really looking forward to it. We got to speak to him about how he created his menu and his focus on local seasonal items. He uses Slagel Family Farm, a name you should all be familiar with now, that delivers fresh meat pretty much as soon as he orders it. They also have great after work specials, like on Tuesday nights they have $7 flat breads and Thursdays $3 craft beer and $3 pork belly sliders. We will definitely be back to check out the updated menu next month. We also got to sit with Adam Jones, who is in charge of the drink program at Adamus. If you like craft beer, this is definitely a place that keeps a rotating list and you should visit them soon. Thursdays are best if you don't mind a crowd. Check out the photos below of our lunch the other day.
